PILOTS, WELCOME TO CARMEL VALLEY VINTAGE AIRFIELD.

Here are a few helpful recommendations for your safety and the comfort of everyone concerned:

Tie down your plane well at marked places North or South of the runway, facing West. Do not leave your plane closer to the runway than the marked places. We often get a good breeze in the afternoon.

WHEN DEPARTING:

Rwy 29; After crossing road and safety permits turn 20 degrees left, to the South.

Rwy 11; When safety permits turn right 20 degrees, to the South.

The pattern is on the South side 1450 feet msl.

The stopway/overrun to the West is usable and recommended for accelleration when using runway 11.

Departures that take you through Monterey Class C airspace have to be approved by MRY approach prior to entry. Their official frequency is 133.0 but from our vicinity they prefer you call on 133.5. Climb South-West or South-East. The white lookout tower straight ahead as you climb out from rwy 29 is ORMSBY PEAK and is 6 miles South of MRY. You can circle it while establishing contact.
