The Jack Douglass Saloon has been in operation for quite some while
too. The decor and fixtures are all done in a Wild West theme, there's
even a private booth that can be curtained off.
The saloon serves good beer on draft, and also offers pretty decent
bar food. However, for me the highlight is the homemade sarsaparilla.
Described by those who do not appreciate the finer things in life
as "a cross between dentist's mouthwash and muscle pain ointment",
the sarsaparilla may be an acquired taste, but I love it, especially
with a pretzel and mustard. I do draw the line at the cherry flavour
though. They also serve excellent homemade lemonade.

"This sarsaparilla isn't that bad after all!"
"Oh boy this stuff is gooood!"

Other patrons look on in amazement.
