Santa Rosa

There are three airfields close to each other, all starting with the name Sonoma. This one is Sonoma County (STS), the largish field with a VOR on it. ATC and most pilots call it simply Santa Rosa as it is the nearest to the city of Santa Rosa.

When you land, check out the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Even if it is closed, there are many interesting aircraft outside to look at.

Afterwards have a great meal at Mannys Restaurant in the terminal building. If Manny's is closed, or you'd enjoy a 10 minute walk, take the airport exit road and just before you get to Highway 101 there is a great deli/cafe.
